Privacy Policy for the Website

Shavim - NGO for Occupational Rehabilitation, NGO No. 58-008159-4 (the “NGO”) works to advance people with psychiatric disability and to provide them with occupational rehabilitation, and it attaches utmost importance to the protection of the privacy, dignity and rights of the rehab patients, their family members and the users of the NGO's website.


1. The NGO operates under the provisions of the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (the “Law”), including the regulations promulgated thereunder.


2. The types of personal information processed through the use of the NGO’s website (the “Site”) include contact information that the user may submit on the Site, including full name, email address, phone number and any other message the user chooses to leave at their discretion.


3. Donations – If the user of the Site chooses to make a “donation” through the Site, they will be required to provide credit card details, and the processing of these details will be carried out by an external provider, Hype Payment Solutions Ltd., in accordance with that processor’s data security and privacy protection terms.


4. If the user applies for an open position at the NGO through a designated form that is provided on the Site, the NGO will be entitled to collect their full name, email address, mobile phone number and any other relevant personal information included in the user's résumé.


5. The provision of personal information, and in particular sensitive information, is not required by law and may not in any way be made a condition for using the Site; however, failure to provide such information may prevent the provision of certain services or tailored responses.


6. Collection of metadata – namely, the user's IP address:

6.1 We collect the IP address of your device.

6.2 Metadata – When you access the Site, we collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address

of the device you are using for browsing the Site, and we also

collect analytical information about your use of the Site.

6.3 Analytical information – When you access the Site, we use analysis tools of a third

party, such as Google Analytics, to automatically collect aggregate information about

the characteristics of your use of the Site.


7. The NGO will use the personal information solely for the following purposes:

7.1 Providing a professional response to inquiries from users, rehab patients, individuals seeking employment, or employers;

7.2 Reaching out to users who contact the Site;

7.3 Tailoring services to the personal needs of those contacting the Site;

7.4 Management of the NGO's activities, including registration for activities and occupational guidance;

7.5 Sending updates and professional information, subject to consent;

7.6 Protection of the rights of the NGO and the rehab patients.

7.7 The NGO may not use personal information for other purposes without obtaining explicit consent, insofar as required by law.

7.8 The personal information is stored in the NGO’s databases, in accordance with the provisions of the law and the security level appropriate for the sensitivity of the information.

7.9 The NGO employs organizational, technological and administrative means to maintain information security and the privacy of those contacting it through the Site, including:

7.9.1 Restriction of access to information by role (management of access permissions);

7.9.2 Use of advanced security means;

7.9.3 Ensuring that the confidentiality of the information is maintained by the NGO’s staff and persons acting on its behalf.


8. Transfer of information to third parties

The NGO may not transfer personal information, and in particular sensitive information, to third parties, except in one of the following cases:

8.1 For translation for the purpose of providing the services, to professional entities or suppliers acting on its behalf, and in accordance with a confidentiality and privacy undertaking.

8.2 With the prior written consent of the data subject, insofar as required

8.3 Pursuant to a legal obligation or a requirement of a competent authority


9. Retention and deletion of information

The personal information will be retained for the period required for the provision of the services and for the fulfillment of the NGO’s purposes, and in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Once the information is no longer needed, it will be deleted or undergo a process of anonymization, to the extent possible and subject to legal retention obligations.


10. Rights of the data subjects

10.1 In accordance with the NGO’s privacy protection policy and the requirements of the law, the data subject may submit a request to the NGO to correct or delete information about him or her, insofar as the information is incorrect, incomplete, unclear or not up to date, or insofar as it is no longer necessary to retain it for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with the law. The NGO will review the request and respond within a reasonable time, subject to any retention obligations imposed on it by law or to the NGO’s essential needs (such as proper administration, legal protection and reporting/documentation obligations).

10.2 Requests to exercise rights will be handled sensitively and discreetly.


11. Mailing and Contact

Rehab patients and anyone else will be contacted solely for purposes related to the NGO's activities or following the receipt of explicit consent.

Consent to receive mailing may be withdrawn at any time.


12. Changes to the Privacy Statement

The NGO may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Site and will enter into force upon its publication.

General: The NGO implements measures to reduce the risk of harm, loss of information, or unauthorized access to or use of information. However, these measures can never provide absolute information security. Therefore, notwithstanding the efforts made to protect your personal information, information security is not immune to failures and you cannot expect the Site to be completely protected against all information security risks.
