Vocational rehabilitation centers

Rehabilitation centers for training people with mental disabilities
Training centers for people with mental disabilities - much more than "just" vocational rehabilitation
Yes, this is the worldview of the training centers of the Equal Association for People with Mental Disabilities. Vocational rehabilitation is not just acquiring a profession, but a holistic service that combines guidance and vocational training in optimal alignment with your abilities, skills and aspirations with providing tools for a normative life in the personal, family and economic spheres. Everything is done with close and personal guidance from the professional teams with endless dedication, support, encouragement and, no less important, full cooperation with you and at your own pace. This and more...
Our ultimate goal is to further increase the number of people with mental disabilities who go to work in the open market after undergoing the vocational training process with us. Therefore, we are careful to initiate and develop new creative models that expand the rehabilitation, training, and occupational integration options of service recipients. Among these exclusive and innovative initiatives, we established the "Shviim Plus" orientation centers , implemented the OJT program based on on-the-job training, and, as always, continue to develop specialized vocational projects and training programs such as: computer studies, sales booths, an arts center, and more. All of these are implemented by our ten training centers nationwide. Want to go one step further?

What is vocational rehabilitation?
None of us have an insurance policy against the vicissitudes of life. An unusual event, an accident, a trauma... all of these and more can cause a person to decline in their functional abilities and mental decline, an inability to integrate into the workforce or lead a normative life.
The goal of vocational rehabilitation: to get you to acquire a profession that is in line with your abilities, skills, and desires, to return you to the workforce, and later to open doors to the free market for you.
The process includes: diagnosis and identification of occupational abilities and aspirations, building a personal occupational rehabilitation plan, training to acquire employment skills in sheltered enterprises, completing education, developing occupational projects, locating employers and continuing guidance, support and encouragement to maintain achievements and persistence in the workplace over time...
The Shavim Association is engaged in providing professional employment solutions and allows those eligible to join the sheltered workshops, vocational training tracks, and the various projects operating in the association, depending on their level of performance.
Protected employment for mentally ill people is undoubtedly the one that requires 110% sensitivity, listening, and commitment. Ours! Of each and every one of the hundreds of people at the Shvim Association.
Our goal is to lead you hand in hand into the open labor market and continue to accompany you in the future. The process is similar to climbing a high ladder - step by step - with sensitivity and patience, while providing reinforcement, encouragement, and guidance.
Each step on the ladder prepares you to step confidently on the higher step and gets you used to lifting your head and looking up and stopping humiliating and looking down and feeling down. And now, just before we continue with the process, didn't we explain to you what sheltered employment even is?

There are several platforms for vocational guidance and vocational training. The most basic of these is sheltered employment. This is the first stage in the occupational rehabilitation track for people with mental health issues, which is implemented through the Shavim Association's nationwide network of sheltered enterprises. This is also the stage that allows us to get to know you better on a personal level, to understand your occupational background in depth, and to identify your abilities and skills. Thus, through close guidance and training, close cooperation between us...
Our advantages
In all modesty, the advantages of the Shavim Association are many and varied. And yet, before we list some of them, we will emphasize the most important and human advantage of all: We care. We care about you, we care about Israeli society, it is important to us to contribute and promote the value of equality, and to our worldview, this is our most important advantage. And there are other advantages that our service seekers enjoy:

Success in combination
And the results are not long in coming!!! The Shשvim Association is proud of the high percentage of spiritual candidates who integrate into the free market and lead them to success in many areas of life.
The contestant in the center
We opened the benefits section with the statement - We care about you. This statement is given practical validity in our daily activities: throughout the entire vocational training course, the focus is on you, your desires, abilities, and aspirations.
Professional experience
Yes, that's right, we've already mentioned the advantage of experience, but this time we're aiming for another advantage that relies on experience: the rich experience of expert staff members who specialize in the field of occupational rehabilitation.
Long service
It is said that there is no wiser person than one with experience. Well, we come with over 35 years of experience in successfully integrating people with mental disabilities into the labor market.
End-to-end service
Vocational rehabilitation here is built on a comprehensive system, starting at the beginning of the pre-employment process, through successful placement in the labor market, and continuing with guidance and support to encourage perseverance and occupational continuity.
